"Beautiful rosebud, bloom for me...oh can't you see..."

Beautiful is such a misused word. Boys use it so loosely to describe their girlfriends, teenage girls to describe the latest fashion, people to describe a painting. Oh, but it's so much more than that. Beautiful is when something is pure and good. Serene. Heartfelt. Meaningful. A rain storm, for example.

Such power surging from the sky and the Earth, forcing the trees to bow under their reign, animals finding comfort and refuge under such. Grass swaying as to give in to the trembling Earth-raging with power? Or shaking in fear? How the sky paints a beautiful landscape while the whole scene is informative of the human mind to who is truly superior on this planet. But all things seeming so natural and working in harmony- that's beauty.

A pure heart, soul. Someone who can rise from their own ashes, push themselves to be better people. Someone who, despite (or perhaps because of) what they've been through, they are an inspiration to others. That's a beautiful person.

Lyrics that are from the heart. That tell a story of hope, of life. Harmonies and chords and beats played with conviction. A message that stands strong. That's beautiful music.

So be so very careful when using the word beautiful, because it means a lot.
