"...let the leaves fall off in the Summer and let December glow in flames..."

Well, I guess I should have updated you on life, but those quizzes are just so fun! I swear I spent all day on that site lol :D Anyway, what I wanted to say was that on Sunday I went apple picking with my parents upstate. Every year we go apple picking together at Wilklow Orchards and it's so fun. This year, though, it was drizzling the whole time. I actually liked it. There were hardly any people, the sky was a gorgeous shade of very pale blue to the point where it's gray, and the apples were beaded with little water drops. It looked just a painting. I loved it so much and I really regret not thinking to bring my camera.

This year we picked about 234 apples weighing exactly 100 pounds :D I think the least amount of apples we've ever gotten was in the high 80's. We also got apple cider, pumpkin bread, cream cheese pound cake, banana nut bread, and the famous apple cider doughnuts.

So with sore feet and smelling of fresh apples, we headed to the pumpkin patch. My mom always spends the whole time shopping for jams, fudge, yams, squash, gourds and mums (a type of really pretty flower). My dad and I go pumpkin picking. We got our shoes caked with mud practically to the ankle, but it was fun. I got to run back through the corn field and that was awesome. Have you ever seen the movie Signs? Like that kind of corn field, the type where the stalks reach high above your head and you can't see more than 10 feet in front of you.

Yesterday my mom made apple sauce and today we're making apple pie. I love fall. It's my favorite season. With Halloween and Thanksgiving and the red, yellow, brown and orange leaves, the crunching of the leaf-littered ground, the cool air and friendly spirit. It's just wonderful.

If rambling were a crime, I would have a life sentence. Talk later!
